Easter 2012

Yesterday was a beautiful Easter Day! It truly was gorgeous here. Sunny and 75. Matt and I had a wonderful day just relaxing with each other and watching our Madelyn enjoy the day. It was a low key Easter for us this year but it was just perfect!

Mady was so cute with her Easter basket. She loved the stinkin' Easter grass! Needless to say, that stuff was in the trash quickly!

These are Matt's and Mady's baskets

...and some candy for me too! =)

Oh that Easter grass!!
Matt and I decided to go to the early service at 9 instead of our usually 10:45. I made us leave super early because I hate crowded places and being late! We got there and we were literally the first people there. haha. So we sat in the car, while Mady watched Sid on her DVD player, and we talked. Finally more people came and we headed in. It was truly an amazing service that brought tears to my eyes on more than one occasion!

I love this picture.
Mady looked adorable! Her dress is from Marshall and was 13 dollars! YAY! And...she actually kept that head band on her head! another YAY! Mady loves the nursery and usually tries to dive over the gate before we can put her down. It makes my heart smile that she loves going there and has a great time.

The little stinker was making that face on purpose!

My Loves!

Fun with the grass!

Mady decided to sit in her Easter basket and watch TV

Fun outside!
The rest of the day we just hung out and relaxed. It was nice not having a schedule or anywhere to really go. I cooked my first holiday dinner. It turned out quite delicious if I do say so myself. We had ham, pineapple stuffing, mashed potatoes, green mold (sounds gross...so yum!), and green beans. Apple crisp for dessert!

It was so beautiful out we headed to the park after our early dinner. We had a great time. I think everyone else had the same idea because it was packed! I love moments like that with my buddies.

It was a beautiful day with a beautiful meaning behind it. Thank you Jesus for what you did for me, and my husband, and my beautiful daughter, on that cross.
