Fun Times!

We had HOT weather yesterday. I'm talking it got up to around 85 or higher. Goob and I ran a few errands but I really hate taking her out in the heat because she sweats so much! Her car seat is still rear-facing and the air conditioner takes forever to get to her hence I have a soaking wet child! Poor girl!

When the hubby came home from work we decided to take a trip to the beach! We live about 5 minutes from the bay so we decided to head there. We found close parking and headed down! It was soooo lovely! This is the first time Goob has been to the beach since she was 9 months old. Needless to say, this time was very different but so much fun!

Not sure about the sand at first.

My favorites!

Mady was not a huge fan of the sand. She would attempt to get up without putting her hands in the sand (like mother, like daughter!). She also would wipe her hands every time sand got on them. Too funny!

Exploring with daddy

Freezing cold water!
Mady worries me a little bit! She is not afraid of the water at all! Like she would run straight for it! Matt and I would run after her.

Me and the husby!
While taking this pictures Mady decided it would be a good idea to try eating sand. Lets just say that won't happen again! =)

The girls! Love this little girl!

At Wendys!

After about 45 minutes at the beach, the sun was starting to set so we decided to head to Chick Fil A for some delicious dinner! However, when we got there, there must have been an event going on and the chick fil a cow was dressed up. Mady was not a fan (again like mother, like daughter!) She grabbed Matt's shirt with a death grip and was absolutely terrified so we decided to head to Wendy's instead. We discovered Mady loves french fries (well we already knew this one), chocolate frosty, and honey mustard sauce!

It was such a fun night, something that all of us needed! This momma's not feeling the best today and thunderstorms are in the forecast so it looks like a fun day inside with dada (until he has to go to work!) So thankful for my wonderful family and moments like last night! =)

  1. I hope you are feeling better now! Your daughter is so precious! My son would run straight into the waves at that age and then be annoyed when we would swoop them up before they crashed over his head! I'm glad he has outgrown that stage!
